There are plenty of war games set during World War II or on modern battlefields, but '83 feels a more unique by taking players back to the early 1980s.

With '83 the game is set firmly in the early 1980s, in a semi fictional past where the Cold War erupted in a full scale war between Nato and Pact.

Beyond the weapons, gadgets, uniforms, and vehicles, the environment is just as important in selling the setting and making the world feel like it’s truly part of that decade.

Here are a few of the pieces I created to help reinforce that sense of time and place. They range from the classic film posters that plastered streets to industrial safety warnings you’d expect to have seen in Soviet factories.
